The year 2020 has been harsh at one point. It showed us the massive disaster by affecting the major population. Covid affected our lifestyles too and thus came in new normal. Instead of travelling abroad, people prefer visiting nearby places that are well protected and safe. I have made a little bit of contribution by showcasing one of India’s best vintage car museum. It is a striking collection of rare vehicles. One would just go rock silent looking at the size and make of the car. We were dumbstruck at each car we passed by. Mammoth sized car accommodation even seven-seater collection is profoundly unique. Not to forget that his massive interest helped him to acquire a place in the Guinness Book of World Records for the same. Car enthusiasts would just be enchanted and thrilled at the collection of cars from various countries.

What are Vintage and Classic cars?
In India all cars manufactured before 1940 I.E., the Second World War are classified as Vintage Cars. All cars manufactured between 1940 and 1970 are considered Classic
Cars. Generally, a car older than 30 years is considered collectable and therefore called Classic.

How did the collection start?
These cars were either purchased from the mill owners or the kings who used them. This museum is maintained by the Vintage and Classic Car Club of India is a possession to India. I was literary mesmerized by the typical shooting brake by Barker and that was one of the best collection of Rolls Royce. One important thing that I noticed that some unique names were given to cars such as Azad, Chamunda, Chetak, Pushpak and many more. This museum has a unique collection of Rolls Royce that included 1923 Silver Ghost, 1927 Phantom I, 1936 Phantom III, 1937 Phantom III, 1949 Rolls- Royce to name a few.
One thing I noticed about 1923 Silver Ghost with its Victoria State Landau had gas lamps on its side and it seems to be enthralling. Another car that grabbed my attention was the odd colour combination Chrysler Imperial Airflow. It has a unique collection of Daimler and Bentley. Also, folks can notice Buick make cars, who happens to be one of the renowned American automobile manufacturers. Not only English and Americans, but it also accommodates French make Hotchkiss Cars manufactured by the French company Hotchkiss. Convertible cars with ducktail body, rakish rolls Royce, a two-seater that can be converted to four-seater, silver-grey Sedanca de Ville, a pair of classic Bentleys. One odd and mesmerizing thing to notice was that every vintage car was custom built and thus, it is one of a kind. These cars were for privileged and it shined from every aspect you looked at those beauties.

When was the museum started?
This place is one of the biggest collections of personal cars, bikes, carts, carriages and buggies. This auto museum was started in 1927 in Dastan that happens to be his private estate. His residence is just beside the museum. Museum houses stately limousine to classic Rolls- Royce, Lincolns, etc. Convertible cars that had cloth on top to cars that had impeccable brakes were noticed. Also, the symbol of the cars just took my breath away. All cars are well maintained and up to mark. This is a house full of priceless antiques. Well known as Vintage car Aficionado died in 2011, leaving his massive collection for the world to see. He was titled ‘The last Maharajah’.

The vintage car museum is one of a kind and there is much more detailed to the aspect of cars and automobiles. Bhogilal was a person who lived a Maharajah styled life and he and his family members never travelled in the same car or aeroplane. Apart from cars, he was an art digger and he had a massive collection of art at his residence. The following passion and making it noticeable and worthwhile is what can be learnt from this man. The place also houses cafeteria and adventures for kids. Also, you can ride one of the vintages for some extra cost.
