How to make donuts!

Donuts on mind? Cannot forget the taste you ate donuts last time? Your taste buds have still not forgot the taste of chocolate donuts you had and you are lured of making it on your own. What are you waiting for? Here is the simple method of making donuts at home.

Ingredients:

  1. All purpose flour : 2 kg
  2. Fresh Yeast : 80 gm
  3. bread improver : 3 gm
  4. salt : 30 gm
  5. water : 1000 ml
  6. butter : 220 gm
  7. sugar : 280 gm
  8. milk powder : 100 gm
  9. oil for deep-frying.

Method :

  • In a broad container take water, yeast, salt and sugar. Mix it well with hands.
  • In another container take all-purpose flour, milk powder and bread improver.
  • Add the water mixture prepared earlier in the mixture of flour.
  • Add butter at the end
  • Make a dough.
  • Knead the dough well till it turns smooth and no lumps are found.
  • Cover the dough with a thin cloth for 10 minutes.
  • Make sure the dough is soft.
  • Make pieces of the dough such that each cut should weigh around 70 gms.
  • Roll it nicely like a bun.
  • Cover the buns again for 10 minutes.
  • Take a big tray and spread cotton cloth on the tray.
  • Dust the cloth with some flour so that the dough do not get stick on the cloth.
  • Take the rolls prepared, press it with hands and remove the center portion with a cutter to give the shape of a donut.
  • Put the donuts on the cloth that is dusted and let it prove for 40 mins.
  • After the donuts are proved, fry them in the boiling oil till it turns pink or you it cooked properly.
  • Cover the hot donuts with castor sugar so that the sugar gets coated properly and sticks well on the donuts.If you want to add chocolate on top of it wait for 10 minutes before pouring chocolate ganache on top of it.

  • Garnish the donut with sprinklers, chocodip or silver balls.
  • Donuts are ready to relish.
