A place where terrorists were blessed!
Find me a place where God is not existent? Oh Well, to be theist or atheist is subjective choice, but bracing yourself up while your life still exist is something admirable. No one would have ever thought of blessing a terrorist in their entire life. Isn’t it?
Akshardham is a temple constructed everywhere around the globe, but the one rooted in Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad faced terrorist attack that no one would have ever thought of. This place is so mesmerizing that even non followers of God Swaminarayan would visit it ones for its hypnotic gorgeousness. It is maintained very well. It is inspired by Yogiji Maharaj and created by Pramukh Swami. It takes around half an hour to reach the place from Ahmedabad airport.
You can experience perpetual harmony and the nature to make you feel at peace and unperturbed. Akshardham itself means Abode of God. It is one of the most majestic pieces built on the bank of the river Yamuna. It is one of the finest tourist destinations. It is erected in massive 23 acres and was built over a period of 13 years. We visited the place with our family and it was a memory. We couldn’t take pictures as after the terrorist attack in this blessed place, taking pictures is forbidden. Cameras are not allowed nor even phones. Well it is for safety of the visitors but place is so mesmerizing that it is challenging to describe. If you want to experience everlasting peace and also comprehend the culture and spiritual life, visit of the campus and exhibition center is a must.
The complex of the temple consists of art, culture, education, architecture, life, education, etc. and it is pretty enthralling. Gardens are preserved so well and are reasonably worthy. Over and above, it has a food court with varieties displaying Indian food with utmost hygiene. Considering the visitors and as temple belongs to the Shree Swaminarayan followers, you will not find onion and garlic in any of the preparations. However, the taste would live a tint on your tongue to draw you back again to this wonderful place. It also has fountains and rides for kids. However, timings for the same are different. You can have a glimpse of Hindu culture and religion, and architecture. It is quite famous around the world, but this is the place where Pramukh Swami Maharaj prayed for the souls of terrorists to rest in peace! This is the culture where harmful sources for the society were blessed for a better understanding of their brainwashed acts and prayers for their ignorant souls!

Wow I didn’t know about the Story of Akshardham in Ahmedabad. That is scary and amazing at the same time. Amazing because it survived and it makes it a story now. I will definitely plan to visit it the next time I am there.

I am quite confused after reading this post! Was there actually a terrorist attack at this temple in Gujarat or are you simply referring to the act of prayer for the souls of terrorists- which I am sure every place of religious worship does in every city and every country?!

I have visited the Akshardham temple in Delhi, but not the one in Ahmedabad. I can’t believe that some years ago terrorists had chosen to attack innocent worshippers inside the temple.
